Have you ever caught a glimpse of something beautiful?
Just a glimpse.
So you turn toward it.
Upon looking, it is still beautiful
But you really do not know what it is.
You look closer.
Beauty yes, but something more:
Wonder fills you.
The unknown interrupts your walk.
Your journey pauses;
A crossroad appears;
This is where I am at right now.
Catching glimpses of my beautiful future.
Not really knowing with clarity what is about to unfold.
Standing at the crossroad.
One that only appeared when I decided to stop my til then course
And look with curiosity at the glint that caught my eye.
My attention has turned.
My heart beats a gentler beat now;
One that is in harmony with my mission;
One that soothes even as it enlivens;
One that is constant.
I know not what lies before me.
I know not even what it is I am gazing upon.
But it feels good.
It feels right.
And I know it is mine
To choose to follow.
If I mote it be.
