Circling but never reaching Silence

Silence does not truly exist

Nor does stillness

Not really.

Quiet and whispers, yes

But not silence and stillness.

a pantoum poetry challenge 2015:

sacred symbol women green

I sit here seeking silence

What stillness I demonstrate

The wind tousles my hair

The pulse of my blood rhythmic in my ears

What stillness I demonstrate

Breath in, breath out

The pulse of my blood rhythmic in my ears

My breathing harmonizing with my heartbeat

Breath in, breath out

Oh so still, yet ever in motion

My breathing harmonizing with my heartbeat

Circling but never reaching Silence

Oh so still, yet ever in motion

The room echoes my Stillness

Circling but never reaching Silence

The window left open

The room echoes my Stillness

The wind tousles my hair

The window left open

I sit here seeking silence
