Day by day
you take my breath
away
Unexpected surprise
morning brings
to my eyes
‘Yes’ I say
as I awake each
day
At your dawn
I ease out to
my lawn
Blessedly alone
I feel Earth’s vibrations
being sown
In gratitude and pleas
I sink to my
knees
With dreams fulfilled
present moment
without guilt
Sitting surrendered in this grass
allowing time to simply
pass
So unlike
the public me
who shines too tritely
When what I desire
most is stillness
unmired
Carefree silence belongs
alongside
Chickadees’ songs
Colors of June
no mere ornaments
when in bloom
Here
when I’m
near
Worship embarks;
my resonant
soul sparks.
