Thought for contemplation:
CONTEXT:
Envisioning a Year is an Intentional Visualization practice in action – This service puts into action ways in which we can incorporate practical rituals and visualization to create what we want to have present in our daily lives.
Today’s service puts in to action ways in which we can incorporate rituals and visualization to create what we want to have present in our daily lives.
One of the tools shared to day is that of Intentional Visualization and to that end for those tuning in online, in the chat is being placed some of the words of intention.
Choose one that resonates with you.
For those here in person, in your Order of Service, you received an Intention Card. Each has a word or phrase written on it. If it resonates with you great. If not, you can choose a new one. Or turn it over and write a word that does resonate with you.

“Clay Rituals”
by Nora Naranjo-Morse
Mud Woman, Poems from the Clay (P. 111)
Each morning I stretch
upward,
greeting the sun,
climbing into
Eastern skies.
Steaming coffee
cooling quickly
in cold mugs.
Children,
refreshed,
exchanging dreams
from their beds.
These seemingly ordinary rituals
add to my day,
figuring prominently
into the larger scheme
of things,
for me.
I am comfortable
with daily ceremonies.
Opening the studio door,
calling on memory
to remind my hands,
where I left off
from yesterday’s work.
Senge Taa muu,
words of greeting
a new day
reflects off
clay forms
in various stages
of readiness.

The New Spirituality
(An excerpt from The Seeker’s Guide)
By Elizabeth Lesser
Who Has Authority?
You are your own best authority.
As you work to know and love yourself,
you discover how to live a spiritual life.
What Is Spirituality?
You listen within for your own definition of spirituality.
Your deeper longings are your compass on the search.
What Is the Path to God?
(Nodding Affirmatively)
Many paths lead to spiritual freedom and peace.
You have a rich array of gems from which to draw illumination: the world’s religious traditions;
mythology; philosophy; psychology;
healing methods; scientific wisdom;
your own experience.
String a necklace all your own.
What Is Sacred?
Everything is sacred
—your body, mind, psyche, heart, and soul.
The world is sacred, too,
with all of its light and darkness.
Bring the exiled and unloved parts of yourself back into the fold.
What Is the Truth?
The truth is like the horizon
—forever ahead of you,
forever changing its shape and color.
Let your spiritual path change and diverge
as you journey toward it.
You live many lives in one lifetime.
The truth accommodates your growth.
