Welcome to 365 Days of Poetry!

Start listening, now! 🙂

Click above link to view ongoing list of featured poetry. See below for more information about this program and how to support it!

Our goal is to curate a minimum of 365 inspirational and thought-provoking poems so listeners can have at least one poem per day to listen to. We will continue to post until we reach and even surpass that amount.

Be sure to check the Show Notes and list below for information about the poet featured.

AND, feel free to suggest additional poems for Twinkle to feature! If you would like to submit a favorite poem you’ve read, please do so and we will consider publishing it here.

ALSO: If YOU are a poet – – Don’t Be Shy – send Twinkle a poem of yours to read…or better still, send her an audio of You reading your inspirational poem!

We especially seek to highlight lesser known and upcoming poets. We will also post famous poets of the present and past.

NOTE:

This program is made possible by the generosity of those who help fund it. A goal is to Not have “advertisers” as we want listeners to be able to press “play” and listen to poem after poem uninterrupted should they wish to.

If you would like to support this program, we appreciation your donations and your support! Thank you!

Thank you for your generosity!

Message from Twinkle about this Podcast:

People have been suggesting I launch a podcast for a while. Given my background in radio and television production and hosting, it makes sense. Yet, I wanted to ease my way into this new-to-me industry.

Why a poetry podcast?

When I took a close look at the kinds of podcasts that exist, and the kinds I’d like to listen to, I realized, as Jimmy Buffet did, there was a “poet shortage” pastedGraphic.png

At least in representation in Podcast Land!

I have been dreaming about this for a few years actually and keep checking back. Keep placing it on my to-do-someday list.

So why now?

On New Year’s Day (this year – 2026)  while in the Outer Banks, North Carolina, I nestled myself into a blanket on a bench overlooking the water – with me was my little dog, Nimue and a stack of poetry books I had purchased the day prior day at The Island Book Store in Corolla. One of the books is by local poet Lorraine Henrie Lins entitled, Without the Water.

I commenced to reading “How Much” – the book’s first poem.

It…is….gripping, …poignant, …tragic, unbelievable,…and…real!

I felt a cascade of emotions as I witnessed through Lorraine one of the most heart wrenching moments of her life!

My first thought, upon completing her poem, was that “people need to know THIS POEM!” People need to have access to it! To hear it. To know that the unimaginable has been written so eloquently and generously by this poet.

And, then I went back to my AirBnB, opened my laptop, and recorded “How Much.” I recorded several other poems that day – some of mine and of other poets.

I wanted to create something – ASMR-style – inasmuch that it can be a reset for listeners. Reconnecting to our human parts, our spiritual parts, our authentic emotional parts.

As time moves forward I will share a variety poems on this podcast will.

Some will reach back through history sharing some of the most cherished, beloved and familiar poems. Some will be lesser known poems from famous poets. Many will introduce poems from local poets that most will never have heard of.

Some poems will be hopeful and fun.

Some will share the beauty of our Earth and mysteries of the Universe.

Others will offer salve for grief and sorrow.

And, some….

Some, like “How Much” will meet many of us where we are at and where we have been: when we have experienced the unspeakable, when we know that not everyone is prepared to hear it all and that no “trigger warning” will suffice, yet have somehow found the words to describe it in such a way to leave no doubt that some nightmares need to be told, so that those experiencing them feel less alone.

My goal is that people will be able to tune into any day of the year and find a new poem to listen to.

So, I secured the domain 365DaysOfPoetry and launched the podcast on Spotify!

I will post a minimum of 366 poems 😉 Many will be recited by me. My hope is that others – especially other poets – will send recordings of them reading for me to post as well.

Please “Follow” 365 Days of Poetry on Spotify.

If you have a favorite poem you’d like to send for me to read or an audio of YOU reading it, please do so!
