“The Universes doesn’t care what we do, it cares who we help.”” – Caroline Myss
We will see how our Thought for Contemplation ties in with this week’s service
Theme: “Heaven on Earth”
The world stage, and in our country at large, we bear witness daily to the strife and chaos that exist because those in positions of power seek to create divisions and hardships. It can be easy to get caught up in it and allow anxiety and even anger to reign in our hearts and minds.Yet, that gives even more power to oppressors. Now, as ever, it is vital to remember that
we are fortunate to have authority to direct our thoughts and our actions towards the kinds of outcomes we desire. More importantly, we must remember that we are not alone. That we, together, have the ability to create Heaven on Earth.

Thought for Contemplation:
“All that you touch
You Change.
All that you Change
Changes you.
The only lasting truth
Is Change.”
– Octavia Butler
Join us this week on Sunday, February 9th as we explore the
Theme: “Sustaining Through Change”
Change permeates the human experience and the world we live in. Yet, even with the natural realities of change, we tend to resist it, often to our detriment and the detriment of others. This service explores ways to approach inevitable change positively.
UU Waterville, Maine, 69 Silver Street 10:00AM

This week’s Thoughts for Contemplation were selected by Dennis Perkins.
“Twinkle” has the honor of co-leading the upcoming worship service at the UU Church in Waterville with Dennis on Sunday, January 26th at 10:00am.
The theme is: “Stewards Recruiting for the Army of Light”
Thoughts for Contemplation:
“The universal divine organization and the natural system (is long and challenging)…
The seed does not at once become a tree; the embryo does not at once become a man; the mineral does not suddenly become a stone. No, they grow and develop gradually and attain the limit of perfection.”
~ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
“We need a social vision that is as morally compelling as identity politics but does a better job of describing reality. We need a national narrative that points us to some ideal and gives each of us a noble role in pursuing it. That’s the gigantic cultural task that lies ahead.”
~ David Brooks
