“Euphorically Dumbfounded”

In less than five minutes Sofia Avery-Kapulski delivers her “Euphorically Dumbfounded” homily (which is really better titled a micro-sermon with maximum impact) in which she confronts, delineates, summarizes and wholly determinizes existentially the very things that confound humanity. She speaks concisely and articulately of necessary and possibly immanent new cosmos, multiverses, symbiotic interconnectivity, numerical concepts and incomprehensible theories of time and matter and life and death. She declares boldly, “I don’t believe in ‘God.’ But I believe that entropy is coming for the universe with everything in it and that this universe will die and no mind will be active to even recall what happened.”

UU News!

“Some good news to share. The Board of Trustees of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is pleased to announce its unanimous nomination of the Rev. Meg Riley and Charles Du Mond for election as the next co-moderators of the UUA, at the special election to be held at General Assembly (GA) 2020, in Providence, RI. If elected, they will serve in this position for a term beginning at the conclusion of GA 2020 and ending at the conclusion of GA 2025.”

Meg is my Senior Minister where I am an affiliate community minister at the Church of the Larger Fellowship. She announced her retirement a few weeks ago. She will be missed at CLF. I am deeply grateful personally and for our UU world to see her nominated as co-Moderator.
