Should you seek respite on your journey Saturday – We are here for you!
We know many of our UU friends and compassionate colleagues will be traveling distances on Saturday to attend the Women’s March in Augusta. If you are seeking a place to stop, have a warm cup of coffee or tea, and relax for a short while, perhaps even sit in our meditation room, before you proceed to or from the Maine State Capitol, please know there is a friendly, welcoming home for you to visit enroute.
Twinkle’s Place is just of I-95 in Pittsfield: Exit 150 (40 minutes south of Bangor / 40 minutes north of Augusta).
IF you think you may wish to stop in, let me know and we will be prepared. BUT also feel free to decide spur-of-the-moment depending on how you feel on Saturday.

We are taking a road trip to join in beloved community with the Unitarian Universalist congregation in Sangerville.
UU churches and fellowships do not endorse or denounce political candidates, we promote values and principles in alignment with our liberal faith and we seek ways to meet the needs of our community.
The results of this election have caused fear in our nation, and in our community. Residents have concerns about how the new administration will affect them and those they love. There are fears about access to needed medical care, the sexual objectification of women, potentially negative implications possible policy changes would mean to marriage equality and LGB rights, as well as concerns about racism, xenophobia and human rights violations.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Sangerville & Dover-Foxcroft will host a Potluck and Vigil on the eve of Inauguration Day. It will be a time to comfort one another as we express our concerns and share our hopes.
Friday, January 20th 2017

Join us for a Mexican potluck and candle lighting.

ALL ARE WELCOME

This evening will feature and introduction and overview of the curriculum for three wonderful women’s programs recommended by UU Women and Religion:
We look forward to offering these curriculums this year at Twinkle’s Place as we explore first and sixth UU Sources together!
During the beautiful Christmas Eve service held in Sangerville hosted by the Rev. Scott Jones and musicians Jason Curran and Peter Ippoliti we were inspired by the message of hope and interconnectedness.
Rev. Jones reminded us to “always assume the one sitting next to us is the Messiah waiting for some single human kindness – we will soon come to weigh our words and watch our hands.”

Pray for peace to find its way into your heart, into the world.
Wait with perseverance as your companion in the dark still moments.
Trust that Love shall spread its wings in flight toward the spoken and unspoken desires of the heart even as it accompanies peace unto thy shoulders and surrounds the world in its beloved embrace.

This episode commences with a delightful visit from Jackson Crawford, a wonderful young UU who recently interned at the White House. As the show continues, the hosts discuss how to hold precious personal Joy through challenging times and in the face of what seems awful, to use Joy as an act of resistance.
And, Rev. Joanna Fontaine Crawford, explains her beautiful and inspired take on the levels of Santa.
