Join us in person or online for “Mothering Mothers” service at 10:00AM on Sunday, May 14th, 2023
A Mother’s Day service that spotlights the challenges of mothers (of all ages and phases–gestation through empty nest and everything in between and beyond) as well as ways in which mothers can best be supported and honored, including how they can support and honor themselves.
Thought for Contemplation:
“Sometimes the strength of motherhood is greater than natural laws.” – Barbara Kingsolver
Theme: “Fold as You Go!” – Life. It is full of distractions, hopes, dreams, triumphs and struggles. We can easily get weighed down, overwhelmed and lose focus on what is most important. Let’s explore ways to navigate to ensure lives well-lived.
Twinkle will be Zooming into this service from Florida!!
Theme: “The Operator’s Manual for Planet Earth”: This out-of-the-box service contemplates Earth as a classroom and presents The Matos Mantras as channeled by D. Trinidad Hunt.
Worship Leader: Rev. “Twinkle” Marie Manning
Thought for contemplation : “When a spirit inhabits a physical body a state of amnesia sets in.” – D. Trinidad Hunt
Join us in-person or online at the Universalist Church in Waterville Maine.
“It is possible, practical and incumbent to hold these two truths: – The holidays are wonderful, merry and bright. – The holidays are hard, dark and dreary. For some, it’s one or the other. For most, it’s both.”
~ Rev. “Twinkle” Marie Manning
“For those who are hurting, lonely or sad this time of year, and for those who wish to support those who are, this service is for you. A time and place to hold grief sacred during the holiday season. Whether it is your Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa or Solstice and Yule, the holiday season, while filled with light, can create palpable darkness. Together may we offer comfort and solace.”
Order of Worship for the Service:
